"LET OTHERS SPECIALIZE -- I'LL DIVERSIFY"
Fran Schroeder’s artistic pursuits vary from painting, photography and drawing.
Her background includes art at Hallmark Cards, instructing for Ringling School of Art and Design, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and Colorado Mountain College. She participates in numerous shows and exhibitions, and has memberships in various art and painting organizations.
She is a member of the Park Hill Art Club, Art Student’s League of Denver, Front Range Watercolor Artists, and the plein air painting group Friday Painters.
Favorite subject matter consists of landscapes, mountain scenes, old and historic buildings (included monthly in the North Denver News and the Cherry Creek News), and "waterscapes" with emphasis on lighthouses and boats. Her love of "all things coastal" began as a student at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida.
Sales venues include her home studio, Denver Tastes, Tennyson Street, Denver Willow-an Artisan’s Market, Littleton Colorado Gallery 440, Savannah, Georgia Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum, Boca Grande, Florida and various exhibitions. She offers framed and unframed originals, prints and custom cards.
Her travels have included England, much of Colorado, and both coasts visiting lighthouses and fishing villages where she paints on location, if possible, and also takes massive numbers of photographs. Her photos also are seen monthly in the North Denver News feature "Fran's Photos."
